A linear walk passing Philiphaugh House, Covenanters’ Monument and Montrose Plantation. All harking back to the battle of 1645 at Philiphaugh where Royalists under Montrose were defeated. Then follow the Southern Upland Way to Minch Moor and Traquair. Great views and bloodthirsty history.
