Depart Hawick by way of Wellogate Brae to Kaimend then across country by Ormiston Hill, Kirkton Hill, past Birnieknowe to the road at Hawthornside. Strike out across country again heading for the summit of Ruberslaw to learn of its many historical associations and enjoy the views. There will be a hilltop service (optional) then we descend to Denholm Dean and into the village of Denholm itself to browse and join the shuttle bus back to Hawick.
