Denholm Hill to Ruberslaw Circular

On leaving the bus at Denholmhill we strike out for the summit of volcanic Ruberslaw. Uphill over open country keeping Ruberslaw Covert to the left. Joining with other groups assembling for an optional service at what was Peden’s Pulpit in the days of the Covenanters.This hilltop was also the site of an Iron Age fort and Roman signal station. We return to the starting point by way of the same route.
