Leaving Peebles the route will make its way south through Haystoun and Bonnington. Going up into Cademuir Forest the route will follow the forest road up to Cademuir Hill with wonderful views up the Manor Valley. Following this moderate ascent the route then follows a descending ridge back into Peebles.
