This Walk Is Now Full. An easy relaxing day looking round this interesting example of a planned village which was established in 1793 as a settlement for handloom weavers. There is plenty of open space with a main gathering place called Douglas Square. The walk leader, Joan Robson is a member of the Liddesdale Heritage Association which guarantees an interesting day culminating in a visit to the excellent village Heritage Centre.
